You can now have Mark Schulman playing drums on your tracks! As you may know, Mark has toured, recorded and performed with some of the biggest names in the history of pop music: PINK, Billy Idol, Cher, Velvet Revolver, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, Foreigner, Richard Marx, Frank Gambale, Ekichi Yazawa, Udo Lindenberg, Dave Koz, Tina Turner, The O’Jays, Amy Grant and the list goes on!
All you need to do is submit your song via the "submit your song page" from anywhere in the world (with or without your own drumming ideas) and Mark will play two to three takes of a custom drum track and upload 16 discreet tracks (per take) on to an ftp site for you to download.
If you like, Mark also welcomes you to his studio, West Triad, located in Venice California where Mark records his drum tracks. West Triad is a state of the art, extraordinarily comfortable facility located three blocks from the beach. Mark along with his partners, Julian Coryell (Jewel, Leonard Cohen, Carol King) and Erich Gobel (Black Sabbath, John Mayer, Ray Charles) have created a facility that combines API, Neve (Phoenix Audio), Telefunken and TL Audio mic pres with Apogee converters, vintage/modern mics, vintage/modern compressors, six drumkits, 25 snare drums, 80 cymbals, an array of vintage guitar amps, guitars, pedals, keyboards, a MAC Pro 8 Core computer, Protools and Cubase software.
The floor and walls are floated, the electronics are discreet, the rooms are tuned the ceilings are vaulted with skylights (see our studio specs on the West Triad page of the site) and the Mark has created a unique system for recording drums in a dry drum booth and leaving the door open to mic the big room with two sets of stereo mics enabling you both a tight dry drum sound and a huge ambient real room sound
